Why Our Team’s Training Matters to You
At Bingham Nerve and Muscle, we believe that outstanding patient care starts with outstanding training and credentials. That’s why we’ve earned Exemplary Status Accreditation from the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM) for all of our EMG clinics—the highest level of recognition in our field.
AANEM’s highest level of accreditation demonstrates to our patients, referring providers, and insurance companies that our clinics meet the premier standards for quality in electrodiagnostic medicine. It also demonstrates to medical residents interested in EMG and NCS training that our clinics provide the best quality environment in which to learn.
Our Physician Team
Leading our EMG practice is a group of nationally recognized electrodiagnostic medicine physicians with specialized training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation or Neurology. Together, these physicians bring over 50 years of combined experience in performing and interpreting EMG and nerve conduction studies.
Our Certified Technologists
Our Certified Nerve Conduction Technologists (CNCT) have all completed a rigorous training program and passed a comprehensive examination administered by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. The CNCT credential represents the gold standard in our field, demonstrating that these technologists have mastered the specialized knowledge and technical skills required to perform high-quality nerve conduction studies. To maintain their certification, CNCTs must stay current with the latest advances in the field through annual continuing education courses.
Investing in the Next Generation
Our commitment to excellence extends beyond our current team. We actively invest in training the next generation of physicians and healthcare professionals in electrodiagnostic medicine. We participate in hospital residency programs for training doctors in electromyography (EMG & NCS) and we manage our own comprehensive nerve conduction technologist training program.
Every technologist training at Bingham Nerve & Muscle completes an intensive 12-month, full-time program in nerve conduction studies. During this year of hands-on learning, trainees work directly under the supervision of our experienced electrodiagnostic physicians. They also receive ongoing guidance from our team of highly qualified CNCTs, who collectively have more than 20 years of experience and continue to mentor newer technologists long after their initial training is complete.
