Medical Expertise and Philosophy
Past Medical Practice and Experience: I completed my preliminary year of medical training at Blake Medical Center where I gained experience treating a wide variety of patients in multiple settings ranging from the outpatient clinic to the ICU. I also completed a three-year residency at the University of Virginia in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. I focused my training on electrodiagnostic medicine with twice the required EMGs performed for residency completion.
Unique Medical Experience: I worked in the acute care hospital and the intensive care unit at Blake Medical Center during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. I volunteered with Habitat for Humanity building houses during my medical education in New Orleans.
Approach to Patient Care: I believe in practicing personalized medicine with a focus on improving the patient’s function and quality of life. My current focus at Bingham Nerve and Muscle is to provide a quality and accurate diagnoses while minimizing any discomfort associated with testing.
Personal Life and Interests
Although I was born in Boston, I moved to Chester, VA where I attended high school and then attended college at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville. I then moved to New Orleans for medical school. After completing my residency, I moved to Memphis, TN where I started work at Bingham Nerve & Muscle.
In my free time, I often visit my family in Connecticut, cook and try new recipes, and follow the Memphis Grizzlies. I play indoor and beach volleyball and compete in regional and national tournaments. I like to travel to our national parks and to attend music festivals across the US. I’ve also traveled to several countries across Asia and Europe to experience different cultures and enjoy a variety of cuisines.
